For the last 20 years, I’ve trained leaders at iconic companies like Walmart, Royal Caribbean, and Macy’s as well as leaders within the senior living industry at Five Star Senior Living. But before that, I was a struggling manager myself.

I spent years in retail—coming in early, staying late—because I was afraid to delegate and didn’t know how to communicate effectively with my team.

That approach actually worked for a while, I kept getting promoted. Then one day  I had nine managers and more than 100 team members depending on me. Doing it all myself just wasn’t possible anymore.

So I took the classes, did the work, and learned that my job became so much easier once my managers were trained, motivated, and trusted. Before long, the managers that reported to me started getting promoted, one after another..

And honestly? Nothing feels better than knowing you had a hand in someone’s success.

That experience shaped everything I do today, helping leaders build the skills and confidence to bring out the best in their teams.

Over the past 20 years, I’ve continued my own development as a leadership trainer and facilitator, earning certifications from HRCI, DISC, Walmart, the John Maxwell Team, The Green House Project, and Mind Gym.
